ABOUT THE SHOW: Witness the hilarity and mischief that unfolds when Couples dive into Therapy. This unforgettable evening of laughter and entertainment is a unique and clever combination of theatre, stand-up comedy, and improv that is as funny as it is insightful. Audiences go on a hilarious and interactive ride as a pair of married relationship experts attempt to help couples with their relationships but as the show wears on, we see that they have more problems than their patients!
And fear not guys, this is not one of those beat down sessions on men. Instead, we equally explore, appreciate, and laugh at the differences between men and women. Sad Team Six is proud to announce our first live comedy show will be taking place on Saturday, March 22, at Canton Palace Theatre.
Synopsis
Sad Team Six President and Canton Firefighter Chris Snyder will emcee the event. “We intend to raise community awareness of the mental health struggles faced by our first responders and normalize that conversation with laughter while raising money to support organizations that offer treatment to the first responder community” – Chris Snyder, President, Sad Team Six The show will also feature a number of professional stand-up comedians including headliner 2024 World Series of Comedy finalist Rob Coleman and comédienne extraordinaire G.W. Rodney Carrington is a multi-talented comedian, actor, singer and writer playing sold-out shows around the world as one of the top 10 highest-grossing touring comedians for the past two decades.
A platinum-recording artist, Rodney’s recorded eight major record label comedy albums, followed by three albums on his own record label, Laughter’s Good Records. Rodney is fresh off t he release of his latest album, “Get Em Out,” (released 2019) which hit #1 on iTunes. His album “Here Comes the Truth” (released 2017) climbed to #3 on the comedy charts, accruing tens of millions of streams on Spotify and even spawned a Netflix special.
Rodney broke through with his major label comedy CD debut “Hangin’ With Rodney” in 1998. The next few years saw nine more Top 10 comedy albums: Live, Morning Wood, Nutsack, Greatest Hits, King of the Mountains, El Nino Loco, C’mon Laugh You Bastards, Laughter’s Good and The Hits, all of which continue to receive radio airplay and regularly place on the national comedy charts. “Hangin’ With Rodney” and “Morning Wood” earned RIAA gold record certification, and his Greatest Hits (a double CD) album reached platinum status.
